I dunno what it is. Past three nights I've had nightmares. not bad dreams, but real, honest to god, terrible graphic night mares.
The first one I killed my mother in a car accident, took her head right off. When I was holding her body her hands crept up to my face and I thought she was trying to say goodbye but she gouged my eyes out with her fingernails. I was fucked up all day after that, got up at five in the morning and zombied around... didn't want to go back to sleep.
Second night, old standard. Involves a snowy path in a deserted area and a person I've met before. We all have those dreams, the ones that won't leave you alone. It's a classic and had me making a pot of tea at - once again - five am.
Tonight I watched my best friend's boyfriend tie her up in fishing wire. I helped, because he was crazy and scary and I was so petrified I couldn't think of how to save her, only about covering my own ass. I kept calling him "sir" and didn't blink when she started screaming; he had a razor whip and a baseball bat and her blood blinded me but I managed to escape through a window; her screams following me out.
I don't want to sleep anymore.

Nightmares are usually manifestations of something in your life that is wrong, but that you're not dealing with. At least according to the psychobabble. My advice is cut down a little on caffeine and sugar (if you have them in your diet), take warm baths before going to bed, and when you lay down to go to sleep, focus your will on having *good* dreams. If nothing else, it can't hurt.

that's awful JAdian. I'll say some prayers for you. I use to have nasty dreams on that level, but that was a long time ago. I hope they go away quickly.

Those are some pretty creepy fucking nightmares. I hope they go away soon, Jade. About the only time I get nightmares anymore is if I get too hot while I'm sleeping.

Of course, the problem with nightmares is that it can turn into a viscious cycle. You're stressed about something, you have nightmares. The nightmares stress you out and interupt your sleep, so you have nightmares...

Those are terrible dreams Jadian. There was a time when i remember that I couldn't sleep and I didn't know why. Then I was looking through this occult/ new age kind of bookstore and the cashier there suggested that I try this green dream herbal tea. Aparantly I was having bad dreams and didn't know it. When I had finally remembered it, I didn't want to go back.
This morning, I was having some weird dreams. Like I went to this place, kind of like a mansion or some other, somebody was killed. I knew who did it but kept quiet becuz he was my roommate and he rewarded me with the sexual favors of this girl. weird... oh and I was waiting for him to kill me. He never did. 'Course that's all I can remember, except for some guy shooting at me, and there were rivers rising like a flood in it, it's a jumble of images. Bleh, i hate dreams like that.

My scariest nightmare was when I was about 7 or 8 years old and I dreamed that I was being buried alive. As they kept throwing dirt on me it became harder and harder to breathe. I woke up having an asthma attack. I'm still deathly afraid of asphyxiation.
It's scary not being able to breathe.
